Above everything else, the main focus for this committee this year is integration. Changing the image of the ACS requires a lot of work and the help from our community is  the only way that we can make that happen. So for every experience that we share together, we want you to enjoy yourselves and get to know more people; not only in your university but in Birmingham as a city.

A REVIEW OF HIDDEN COLOURS II

"I found that this event was very eye opening. It was a screening about Black History and it made me think about the things that people do not know or things that don't even cross their minds. The screening showed experts in the black history movement things that strongly affect the black community such as: religion and the importance of family. It basically revealed that black people are found all around the world, in places that we would never think they were. It was such a powerful screening and made me appreciate the work of black people from the past. It is very important for the black community to check this out because we have to work together in order for benefits to come our way. I think the black community don't really understand this as many of us our fighting against each other instead of working with each other. We are all one people, not in a cliche way, but it is FACT! The screening was thought provoking and it is something that should not be missed! It taught me A LOT and is definitely worth seeing!! I would, without a doubt, watch it again!! "
